The Pontifical Mission Societies is the name given to a group of Catholic Missionary Societies that are under the Canonical jurisdiction of the Holy Father. These include the Society for the Propagation of the Faith, The Society of St. Peter the Apostle, the Holy Childhood Association and the Missionary Union of Priests and Religious.

  In order to exercise their integral pastoral mission in the Country, the Catholic Bishops in Kenya have established the Commission for Pastoral and lay Apostolate at the General secretariat to coordinate, facilitate and monitor the pastoral work in the country in partnership with other commissions.
